In the winter months we have speakers and demonstrations on many gardening topics and one of our favourite pastimes is to plan what we will do in our gardens in the spring and summer months ahead. There is nothing better than to be with friends on a cold Tuesday evening in winter poring over the spring/summer gardening catalogues, imagining all sorts of colour and variety for the summer ahead.
Then of course the summer arrives and here at the gardening club we try to visit as many local gardens as possible - in the past we have visited everything from large established gardens to the very small and newly planted, each bringing new ideas to take home with us.
Previous visits have included gardens at Ardwell in Mull of Galloway, Auchinleck, Kirkmichael, Drongan and Carnell.
